Ev-Henwood Nature Preserve

Explore UNCW's pristine 174-acre Nature Preserve a short drive from historic downtown. Ev-Henwood is comprised of hardwood forest, a creek, fields, and pond habitats teeming with plants, birds, animals and boasting over 15 nature trails including two main learning trails. Their website has a down-loadable map of the trails included in an extensive learning guide full of historic information about the land, history and rare species. This area is also part of the NC Birding Trail.
