Explore Greenfield Park's 250 acres, 90 of which are Greenfield Lake, filled with biking and walking trails, six pickleball courts with two unlit tennis courts, the Greenfield Grind Skate Park, the outdoor Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, and paddle-boat and kayak rentals through Greenfield Lake Boathouse. The Boathouse is managed by Cape Fear River Watch and City of Wilmington, in operation since 1925, and lets you spot wildlife like alligators and birds as you paddle underneath the hanging moss.
A year round birding oasis within busy downtown, other amenities include restroom facilities, water fountains, age and ability specific playgrounds, picnic shelters, grills, and an accessible fishing dock. This is the perfect place to spend any day of the year enjoying nature with family and friends (you may just spot an alligator or two).
